Cross-Cultural Viewpoints on Human Rights of the Older People: A Literature Review

Abstract
When any policy that deals with the problems relating to the olderpeople would be legislated, it should be systematic and/orcomprehensive. At the same time, it should focus on the humanrights. In this article, most of policies and legislation relevant tothe human rights for the older people in the five major countries(USA, Japan, France, German, & England) were compared. Thebasic frameworks of the policies and legislation were discussed inthe context of guaranteeing the human rights for the older people.
