Possibility of Integrating the Long-Term Care Insurance System With the Disabled Activity Support System

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the possibility ofintegrating the long-term care insurance system with the disabledactivity support system in Korea through applying the socialwelfare policy analysis framework. Targets, allowances, deliveringprocesses, and financial resources of the two systems werecompared in order to discuss the possibility. Basically, the targets,allowances, and delivering processes are almost the same in bothsystems, but the financial resources of the two systems arestructurally different. Nevertheless, there would be no seriousproblem to integrate the two systems if a nationally commonagreement would be reached politically for the financial part.
