Abstract

This essay addresses the inevitable and impending changes inour societies and psychology’s responsibilities to help our populationsto facilitate and adjust to these changes. To be very specific,population structures in all industrialized countries are changing ina rapid pace. Are these countries ready to deal with the changingdemographics? More importantly for psychologists, do we havesufficient information or are we doing the necessary preparationsto meet the challenges of the changing demographics?
