Abstract
Aging society problem is one of the most critical social issuesnowadays. Government welfare plan and technology for welfaremedical systems have been under active development for a longperiod of time in the western well-developed countries. Especially,Korea is one of the fastest aging countries, and we need a high-techbased welfare medical systems for well-established elderlylife and technology development of medical systems for elderly.Currently existing medical systems are not suitable for the diseasesand functional disorders that are generally caused for the elderly.Also, technologies for improvement of sensory organs and physicalfunctions by quantitative measurement and analysis for physiological,psychological and behavioral characteristics have not been developedenough. This paper introduces wide range of technologies forelderly-friendly medical systems which are highly interested as a newindustry for economic growth in order to solve the problems of agingsociety.
