Abstract
This paper was to review articles dealing with caregiving burdenand rewards for the grandparents who raised their grandchildren.The major difficulties that they suffered from caregiving theirgrandchildren were deterioration in health condition, lack of finance,low social support, changes in family relationship, psychologicalproblems, and so on, whereas the rewards that they haveexperienced were physical, emotional, economical, and socialrewards. A number of social welfare services and policy tasks forthem, including many grants and educational programs, werediscussed in the context of empowering them.
