Health Problems of Elderly Women in Chonnam Province

Abstract
While Korea has just begun to become the aging society in2000, the Chonnam Province is going to be the aged society soon.That is to say, the ratio of the elderly population in the Provincehas been much higher than other areas in Korea. At the sametime, the Province shows the predominance of female over male inthe elderly population. It means that most of the problems relatedto aging might be the problem of the elderly women. Thus, it wasargued that policy-makers should have more attention to theelderly women rather than just elderly population.
